31 October 2019

Monday 4 November 2019, The Grimond Room, Portcullis House

At 1.15pm

  • Eva Gustavsson, Director, EMEA Government Relations, PayPal
  • Richard Nash, Vice President and Head of Global Government Relations, PayPal

About the session

Senior executives from PayPal face questions from MPs in the on-going inquiry into disinformation. The use of the online payments system to make donations to political parties has been part of the changing landscape of campaign finance. Among areas likely to be considered, whether foreign donors could make untraceable political party donations through PayPal, the use of multiple accounts, bots and automated systems, and how transactions are covered by electoral law.
