Changes to citizens' rights after Brexit
The Exiting the European Union Committee continues its over-arching inquiry into the progress of the UK's negotiations on EU withdrawal, with a session on the draft agreement on the UK's withdrawal from the European Union – specifically the draft articles relating to citizens' rights.
In this session, the Committee focuses on the process for establishing legal certainty for those who will be subject to a different legal set of rights as a result of the UK's departure, commitments that may be required from the EU27, and other matters which remain outstanding for UK and EU negotiators ahead of the European Council summit in June.
