In the first of these two sessions, the Committee hears from Huw Evans of the Association of British Insurers, Catherine McGuinness of the City of London Corporation, and Adam Minns of the Commercial Broadcasters Association. The Committee focuses on the implications of the UK's departure from the EU for the British services sector, which accounts for approximately 80% of the UK economy.
The Committee will then reconvene at 2pm for a session with recently-appointed Secretary of State for Exiting the European Union, Dominic Raab MP, and the Prime Minister's Europe Adviser, Oliver Robbins. This session examines recent developments following the publication of the Government's White Paper on the future relationship, issues that remain outstanding relating to the withdrawal agreement, and the Government's priorities as the October European Council summit approaches.
