Brexit preparedness
Having heard from the National Audit Office, policy and business representatives last week, the Committee continues its examination of Brexit preparedness and coordination across Whitehall, as well as preparations being undertaken for a scenario whereby the UK leaves the EU without a deal. In this session, the Committee hears from the Government's Lead Non-Executive, Sir Ian Cheshire, and three departmental permanent secretaries: Bernadette Kelly (Department for Transport), Jon Thompson (HMRC), and Sir Chris Wormald (Health and Social Care).
Ahead of this week's European Council meeting, the Committee is expected to focus on Government capability to deliver Brexit, coordination work across Whitehall, and the 76 technical notices published since the end of August.
