Government response to Productivity Plan report published

12 January 2017

The Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) Committee publishes the Government's response to its Productivity Plan report.

Productivity Plan

The Productivity Plan, launched by the Government in July 2015, covers a wide range of areas, including the tax regime for businesses, skills, science and innovation, digital infrastructure, investment and trade.

The Committee held an inquiry into the Plan and published its findings in a report in February 2016. The Committee concluded that the Plan lacks clear, measurable objectives and largely amounts to an assortment of existing policies.
