The Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) Committee hosts a roundtable event discussing the Government's industrial strategy with guests representing a wide range of interests from across business and industry.

Purpose of the session

The session covers:

  • whether the strategy should be primarily sectoral, horizontal or mission-based and what the relationship should be between national and regional priorities and decision making
  • whether the strategy should involve more intervention on foreign takeovers of UK companies
