1.   Declaration of Interests

2.   Reports and Updates

The Commission considered the Executive Committee's Quarterly Performance and Risk Report.

3.   Strategy for the House Service

The Commission considered progress in developing a strategy for the House Service and agreed that the Administration and Finance Committees should be consulted.

4.   Accommodation Projects

The Commission was briefed by the Director General, Facilities.

5.   Diversity & Inclusion Scheme 2015–2018

The Commission noted progress with developing the Diversity and Inclusion Scheme 2015–2018, and agreed that its highest priority was achieving representation targets, including ethnic and gender diversity of staff at Senior Commons Staff level.

6.   Security Restructuring Programme

The Commission was briefed by the Parliamentary Security Director on progress with the Security Restructuring Programme.

The Commission agreed that new centrally-provided IT equipment for returning Members should be issued on the same basis as that provided to newly-elected Members.

7.   Lay Members of the Committee on Standards

The Commission agreed to consider again in September the recruitment process for selecting four additional lay members of the Committee on Standards.

The next meeting of the Commission/MEC will take place on Monday 14 September at 5.00pm in Speaker's House.
