Role - Sub-Committee on the work of the Independent Commission for Aid Impact

Welcome to the Sub-Committee on the work of the Independent Commission for Aid Impact website.

Role of the Sub-Committee

This Sub-Committee has been established to examine the work of ICAI. The Sub-Committee will operate by scrutinising ICAI's reports and assessing DFID's responses. The Sub-Committee will work alongside, and report to, the International Development Committee, who will continue to monitor ICAI, chiefly through an annual examination of ICAI's Annual Report.

Background

ICAI is an independent body responsible for the scrutiny of UK aid. ICAI focuses on maximising the impact and effectiveness of the UK aid budget for intended beneficiaries and the delivery of value for money for the UK taxpayer.
