Economic and Monetary Union inquiry continues in Brussels

On 26 and 27 January the EU Financial Affairs Sub-Committee visits Brussels to take evidence from key witnesses including a European Commissioner, MEPs and Brussels-based academics and think tanks. The visit is part of the Committee's current inquiry into Completing Europe's Economic and Monetary Union.
Issues
The Committee questions witnesses on their assessment of the Five Presidents' Report and steps to progress towards a financial, fiscal and political union.
The Committee completes its inquiry in late February, and hopes to publish its report in the spring.

The Committee will produce a transcript of all the separate evidence sessions. It aims to have an uncorrected version available on its website approximately a week after the meetings, and a final, corrected version available within two to three weeks.
