Lords EU Financial Affairs Sub-Committee comments on EU Draft Budget 2016

The Financial Affairs Sub-Committee has written to the Financial Secretary to the Treasury, David Gauke MP, to comment on the EU Commission's Draft Budget 2016 ahead of its likely agreement by Member States this week.

Financial Affairs Sub-Committee gives a cautious welcomes the 2016 Draft Budget ahead of Council agreement. 

The Committee cautiously welcomes the Budget and the steps taken by the Commission to rectify some of the problems encountered in scheduling payments under the previous two Budgets and presses the Government on its engagement with other Member States and with Mario Monti's High Level Group on Own Resources.
