Sub-Committee holds seminar on EU energy governance

Having received a wide range of written submissions, the House of Lords EU Energy and Environment Sub-Committee met on Thursday 15 October with invited parties as part of its inquiry into EU energy governance.

Members of the Sub-Committee, with representatives of the European Commission, UK Government, energy industry and regulators, and invited Member States discussed topics such as the present systems of EU energy governance, capacity mechanisms, renewable energy targets and future possibilities.
The Sub-Committee intends to follow up the meeting with a public session on Wednesday 28 October with Andrea Leadsom MP, Minister of State at Department of Energy and Climate Change.
