Agricultural resilience discussion with farmers on Committee visit

The EU Energy and Environment Sub-Committee visited farms in Hampshire to discuss agricultural price volatility and agricultural resilience with farmers.
On Monday 7th March Baroness Scott of Needham Market, the chairman of the Sub-Committee and Lord Rooker, Lord Selkirk of Douglas, Baroness Sheehan, Lord Trees and Viscount Ullswater, members of the Sub-Committee, met with a range of farmers and with William White, South East Regional Director of the National Farmers Union to talk about their current inquiry.
On Tuesday 8th March the members were given tours of Kingsclere Estate, Manydown Farm, and Vitacress Salads Ltd to observe the range of activities that take place, speak with local farmers, and discuss the emerging conclusions and themes of the Sub-Committee's inquiry into agricultural resilience.
