Kemi Badenoch to face Committee’s questions on equalities issues

The Women and Equalities Committee will question the Minister for Women and Equalities, Kemi Badenoch MP, in her first appearance before the Committee since her appointment in October 2022.

In this wide-ranging session, MPs will examine the Minister’s priorities and follow-up on key areas of Committee focus including the:
- planned legislation to ban conversion practices;
- Government’s response to the Committee’s report on menopause and the workplace;
- work on racial and ethnic inequalities;
- Social Mobility Commission Chair appointments process; and
- next steps relating to the Gender Recognition Reform (Scotland) Bill.
The work of the Government’s Equality Hub will also come under scrutiny with questions to its Director, Marcus Bell.
