How are female MPs reported on in the British press? MPs to hold evidence session

24 May 2022

The Women and Equalities Committee is to hold an evidence session examining the reporting of female MPs in the British press. The session will question the way women in Parliament are represented in the media, the broader impact of such reporting on female MPs, and how coverage is regulated to prevent discrimination.

The Committee will also investigate the experience of female political journalists, particularly within the 'Lobby' group of correspondents assigned with Parliamentary passes.
