Has the menopause affected you at work- and how did your workplace support you? Share your experience with MPs
17 September 2021
Three in five women are negatively affected at work as a result of the menopause- an issue which has remained almost entirely ignored in workplace culture. In July, the Women and Equalities Committee launched its inquiry Menopause and the Workplace, examining the possible discrimination faced by those experiencing the menopause.
How has experiencing menopause impacted you?
This week, the Committee invites those with lived experiences to contribute to the inquiry by completing a short survey which investigates how menopause has impacted on their careers. As part of their inquiry, the MPs will also be assessing the consequences of the menopause on the wider economy, the pay gap and the pension gap, and will ask if existing legislation and workplace practices are fit for purpose.
The Committee welcomes all contributions to its survey, the results of which will be used to inform their research. While all submissions will remain anonymous, responses or quotes may be used in the course of the inquiry, so we ask contributors not to share any identifying information in the open questions.
Submissions will be accepted until Thursday 30 September. The survey takes less than 10 minutes to complete.
