The Women and Equalities Committee examines the recruitment and re-skilling of older workers. It follows on from evidence that recruitment bias is a significant problem.

The second panel of witnesses will focus on the experiences and challenges in the retention of older workers, including the impact of caring responsibilities, such as caring for a spouse, on older people's employment.
Discrimination against older people in employment
The first evidence session emphasised the importance of tackling bias and discrimination that faces older peoples employment.
The second evidence session focused on whether age discrimination is stopping people from working in later life.
