23 June 2022

The Cabinet Secretary, Simon Case, and the Director General of Propriety and Ethics, Darren Tierney, face questions from the Public Administration and Constitutional Affairs Committee as part of its inquiry into the propriety of governance in light of Greensill.

Witnesses

Tuesday 28 June 2022

At 2.00pm

  • Simon Case CVO, Cabinet Secretary, Cabinet Office
  • Darren Tierney, Head of Propriety and Ethics Team, Cabinet Office

Questions are expected on the recent resignation of the Independent Adviser on Ministerial Interests and managing potential conflicts of interest in Government.

The Downing Street parties and the recent announcement on the Government’s intention to reduce the size of the Civil Service by almost 100,000 jobs are also likely to be discussed, considering the Cabinet Secretary’s role as principal adviser to the Prime Minister on matters of propriety and ethics as well as being responsible for implementing Civil Service reforms.
