PACAC launches survey to invite public views on constitutional reform
21 October 2020
The Public Administration and Constitutional Affairs Committee has launched a survey to invite views on what issues the Government prioritises when it forms its new Constitution, Democracy and Rights Commission.
Proposed Constitution, Democracy and Rights Commission
In its manifesto for the 2019 General Election, the Government pledged to establish a Constitution, Democracy and Rights Commission to consider ways of restoring public trust in UK political institutions and the ways that democracy operates.
With the precise remit of the commission yet to be announced, the Public Administration and Constitutional Affairs Committee launched an inquiry to investigate what elements of the UK politics were most in need of reform.
This is an opportunity for the members of the public to have their say and influence the findings of the inquiry. The committee wants to hear about what issues are more important to you and which political systems in the UK are most in need of reform.
The survey closed on 2 November.
