Cabinet Office Minister discusses pre-appointment hearings

The Public Administration and Constitutional Affairs Committee holds an evidence session with Cabinet Office Minister Oliver Dowden MP on pre-appointment hearings.

The Committee questions the Minister about the Government's attitude to Parliamentary scrutiny of important public appointments, and how disagreements between Parliament and the Government should be solved.
