Decisions of the Petitions Committee 3 November 2015

3 November 2015

Today the Petitions Committee decided to seek further information about the issues raised by an e-petition.

The Committee considered all e-petitions which had reached over 10,000 signatures and had received a government response, on or by Friday 30 November.  There were no petitions which had reached over 100,000 signatures by this date to consider at the meeting.

Petitions which met this criteria after Friday 30 November, will be considered at the Committee's next meeting on Tuesday 17 November.

Petitions over 10,000 with a government response

The Committee noted the Government's response and the action already being taken on this issue.

The Committee agreed to write to the Institute for Fiscal Studies to ask about the statement, made in the petition, that the IFS had said that it would be possible to produce an impact assessment of the kind requested by the petition.
