The Committee decided not to schedule a debate on this petition because this issue was debated in Parliament on 6 June 2016. The debate was organised by the Petitions Committee after the e-petition "Restrict the use of fireworks to reduce stress and fear in animals and pets" gathered over 100,000 signatures on petition.parliament.uk.

The Committee agreed to schedule a debate in Westminster Hall on the motion that "That this House has considered e-petition 162934 relating to child cancer" on Monday 28 November 2016 at 4.30pm.
