Decisions of the Petitions Committee 20 October 2015
20 October 2015
Today's decisions involved informing petitioners about current Parliamentary work relevant to their petition.
The Committee considered all e-petitions which had reached over 10,000 signatures and had received a government response, on or by Friday 9 October. There were no petitions which had reached over 100,000 signatures by this date to consider at the meeting.
Petitions which met this criteria after Friday 16 October, will be considered at the Committee's next meeting on Tuesday 28 October.
Petitions over 10,000 with a government response
The Committee agreed it would inform petitioners about any future parliamentary activity on this issue.
The Committee agreed to write to the Government, asking to be informed when the final NICE guidance report referred to in its response is published, so that it can inform the petitioners.
The Committee noted that there was a debate on the availability of cancer drugs at 9.30am on 20 October in Westminster Hall, to which this e-petition had been "tagged" (identified as a relevant document). Petitioners would be informed about the debate.
The Committee noted that the Health Committee was currently inquiring into primary care.
