This week's decisions included scheduling a debate on an e-petition relating to eligibility for mortgages.
Petition debates
The Committee decided to schedule a debate in Westminster Hall on the motion "That this House has considered e-petition 186565 relating to eligibility for mortgages" on Monday 15 May 2017 at 4.30pm.
Paul Scully MP, a member of the Petitions Committee, will lead the debate.
The Committee agreed to defer its decision on this petition to a future meeting.
Petitions with over 10,000 signatures which received a government response
The Committee noted the Government's response.
The Committee agreed to write to petitioners to draw their attention to a recommendation made in the recent inquiry into Animal Welfare by the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs Committee.
The Committee noted the Government's response.
