Decisions of the Petitions Committee Tuesday 1 September

The Committee considered all e-petitions which had, before 27 August 2020, reached over 10,000 signatures which had received a Government response. The Committee also considered which have reached over 100,000 signatures which can be scheduled for debate once sittings in Westminster Hall.

 

Petitions with over 100,000 signatures

The Committee agreed to consider petitions that have reached the threshold to be considered for debate its next meeting.

  1. Broker a ceasefire for all sides in Yemen to carry out humanitarian aid
  2. Impose sanctions on China over its treatment of Uyghur Muslims
  3. Omit the NHS from any future trade deal with the US
  4. Award all Nursing Staff in the NHS a pay rise of 10% backdated to 1 April 2020

  7. Ban the exploitative import of young puppies for sale in the UK

Petitions with over 10,000 signatures which have received a government response
