On 1 March 2022 the Committee considered e-petitions which had received over 100,000 signatures. The Committee also considered e-petitions that had received over 10,000 signatures and received a Government response, e-petitions that had received a revised response, and public petitions that had received a Government observation.

Petitions with over 100,000 signatures 

  1. Referendum in the United Kingdom to abolish the Coronavirus Act.

The Committee agreed not the debate, because now the Government has removed all domestic restrictions in England relating to covid-19, and set out plans for expiring the remaining temporary provisions of the Coronavirus Act 2019, the request of the petition has been largely overtaken by events.  

     2.Ban the shooting of badgers immediately 

The Committee agreed to debate this petition on Monday 14 March 2022.  

Petitions with over 10,000 signatures 

  1. Protect free NHS prescriptions for over 60s

The Committee noted this response 

  1. Reduce Indefinite leave to remain fees from £2389 to £243 for Health workers

The Committee noted this response. 

  1. Make self-employed people eligible for statutory adoption pay

The Committee noted this response, and agreed to debate this petition on Monday 14 March. 

    4. Legalise assisted dying for terminally ill, mentally competent adults  

The Committee noted this response 

    5. Remove all COVID requirements for international travel to the UK  

The Committee noted this response 

    6.Increase the basic state pensions by £500 a year as an emergency measure 

The Committee noted this response 

    7.Extend the new dog abduction theft offence to cover cats and all kept animals 

The Committee noted this response 

    8.Close schools and bring back online learning until the end of Jan 2022

  1. Recognise Somaliland as an independent state

The Committee agreed to accept the revised response.
