Do not give consent for another Scottish Independence Referendum
The petition, which has more than 109,000 signatures, states: “The SNP government appears solely intent on getting independence at any cost.
“The independence referendum was called a once in a generation vote - so let it be.”
In response to the petition, the Government said: “The UK Government continues to respect the decision of the people of Scotland who voted decisively in 2014 to remain part of the United Kingdom.”
What are petitions debates?
Petitions debates are ‘general’ debates which allow MPs from all parties to discuss the important issues raised by one, or more petitions, and put their concerns to Government Ministers.
