Membership of the new Speaker's Advisory Committee on Works of Art

The membership of the Speaker's Advisory Committee on Works of Art has been confirmed following its appointment by the Speaker.
The Committee's membership now includes:
- Hywel Williams (Chair) – Plaid Cymru
- Simon Baynes – Conservative
- Sarah Champion – Labour
- Theo Clarke – Conservative
- Chris Evans – Labour
- Sally-Ann Hart – Conservative
- Kim Johnson – Labour
- Daniel Kawczynski – Conservative
- Barbara Keeley – Labour
- Caroline Nokes – Conservative
- Dean Russell – Conservative
Simon Baynes, Sarah Champion, Theo Clarke, Chris Evans, Sally-Ann Hart, Kim Johnson, Daniel Kawczynski, Barbara Keeley and Dean Russell are new members on the Committee, with Hywel Williams and Caroline Nokes returning to the Committee.
Hywel Williams MP has accepted the Speaker's invitation to Chair the Speaker's Advisory Committee on Works of Art for the 2019-2024 Parliament. Hywel, MP for Arfon, has served on the Committee since 18 November 2010.
He was part of the Committee when it supported the Women in Parliament exhibition and commissioned the New Dawn artwork. He has also been involved with the First Waves project which explores the impact of race relations legislation in the UK.
The Committee will meet for its first sitting on 10 June 2020.
