Former Chiefs of Defence Staff give evidence on the Integrated Review

On Tuesday 23 March, the Defence Committee will begin it scrutiny of the outcomes of the Integrated Review by hearing from two former Chiefs of Defence Staff.

Purpose of the Session
The session will explore whether the first outcome of the Integrated Review - “Global Britain in a Competitive Age” - provides clear strategic direction to the UK’s Armed Forces.
The Committee will assess what this document says about the UK’s global ambitions and the risks and threats to achieving them, before considering whether a forthcoming Defence Command Paper delivers the capabilities required to enable the UK’s Armed Forces to fulfil the role expected of them.
