The accountability hearing aims to cover a range of topics. The cross-party Committee is likely to ask the Minister for an update on the long-awaited SEND review.

The Minister is also likely to be asked about the funding challenges facing maintained nursery schools, despite their strong reputation for helping disadvantaged young children.

There may also be questions about the funding for Family Hubs announced at the Spending Review, as well as the rise in the number of primary school aged children being placed in alternative provision.
