The inquiry

This is the first evidence session of the inquiry into Alternative Provision. The inquiry fits in with the Committee's aims of promoting social justice by looking at ways of improving educational outcomes and life chances.

Alternative Provision is provided in settings such as Pupil Referral Units and educates pupils who are outside of the mainstream school system for a variety of reasons, such as school exclusion, school refusal or illness.
