At 10am

  • Rt Hon Nick Gibb MP, Minister of State for School Standards

Purpose of the session

The session is likely to focus on what the Government is doing to promote social justice and narrow the attainment gap between disadvantaged and other pupils. The Committee is also likely to raise the effect of changes to the curriculum with the Minister.

Members may also use the session to question the Minister on the Government's approach to grammar schools, following the announcement last week of extra funding for the expansion of selective schools.
