- Science and Technology Committee
Background
In this evidence session, the Committee seeks to reassess the implications for science in light of the referendum result and the new Prime Minister's early statements on Brexit. Many features of the political picture remain unclear and many factors other than science will be taken into account in negotiating the UK's future relationship with the EU.
The Committee does not attempt to take a view on the UK's overall position in Brexit negotiations. However, in light of the vote, the Committee seeks to collect evidence on the science dimension of the negotiations and any wider actions which will be needed in the short and medium terms to ensure that science in the UK can continue to flourish.
