Proposals recommended to the House
In the second report of this session, the Liaison Committee announced that they envisage a total of four ad hoc Committees being appointed in the 2016-17 and 2017-18 sessions, the same number as in the present session. The Chairman accordingly invited proposals from members of the House for ad hoc Committees in the 2016-17 Session.
The Committee recommends the following proposals to the House for appointment in 2016-17:
- Long-term sustainability of the NHS
- Sustaining the charity sector and the associated challenges of governance
- Financial exclusion and access to mainstream financial services
- The Licensing Act 2003 (post-legislative scrutiny)
The Committee's report will be debated in the House on Tuesday 22 March.
