COSAC conference attended by European Union Committee Members

From Sunday 12 June to Tuesday 14 June 2016 a delegation from the European Union Committee is attending the 55th Conference of Parliamentary Committees for Union Affairs of Parliaments of the European Union (COSAC) in The Hague, Netherlands.
What is COSAC?
The Conference of Parliamentary Committees for Union Affairs of Parliaments of the European Union (COSAC) was established in 1989. It meets biannually, in whichever country holds the rotating Presidency of the EU, giving members of parliamentary committees and the European Parliament an opportunity to discuss issues of current concern.
Delegation
The Lords delegation is led by EU Committee Chairman, Lord Boswell of Aynho. Baroness Armstrong of Hill Top (Member, External Affairs Sub-Committee) and Baroness Falkner of Margravine (Chairman, Economic Affairs Sub-Committee) will also attend the conference.
Subjects under discussion
Debates will be held in the course of the conference on Parliamentary scrutiny, the role of Parliaments in Protecting the Rule of Law within the EU, migration and the European Court of Auditors.
