Ambassadors give evidence to UK vision for EU reform inquiry

23 October 2015

On Tuesday 27 October the European Union Select Committee meets Ambassadors of Denmark, Ireland and Poland, to hear their views on the Prime Minister's long-term vision for EU reform.

Witnesses

The evidence session takes places on Tuesday 27 October in Committee Room 4, Palace of Westminster.

At 3.45pm:

  • HE Claus Grube, Ambassador of Denmark
  • HE Dan Mulhall, Ambassador of Ireland
  • HE Witold Sobków, Ambassador of Poland

Likely topics

The Ambassadors will be asked how far their governments share the Prime Minister's vision for reform, and about their interpretation of the concept of 'ever closer union among the peoples of Europe'. They will also be asked about other UK Government reform objectives, such as the introduction of protections for non-Eurozone states, and about the impact a potential UK exit from the EU could have on their countries.
