House of Lords committees following dissolution
6 November 2019
Parliament was dissolved on 6 November 2019.
The effect of the dissolution of Parliament is that all committees cease to exist, unless and until they are reappointed at the start of the new Parliament following the general election.
In the interim, any inquiries regarding the work of the committee may be directed to the staff using the details on the committee's Contact Us page. However, staff may not be able to provide substantive answers to questions about specific items of work.
Government responses and debates on reports
The Government is required to respond formally to all reports, notwithstanding dissolution. Such responses, if not issued before dissolution, will only appear after a new Government is formed following the election.
Motions to debate committee reports will be tabled as appropriate in the new session.
