Government Levelling Up funds & grants data published by Levelling-Up Committee

The Levelling Up, Housing and Communities (LUHC) Committee has published data from the Department of Levelling Up, Housing and Communities relating to a series of grants and funding pots connected with the levelling-up agenda.

The data has been received as part of a response from Neil O’Brien, Levelling-Up Minister, to recent correspondence (26 May) from Clive Betts, Chair of the Levelling Up, Housing and Communities (LUHC) Committee which sought further detail around the allocation of levelling-up resources and the aim, size and focus of the many different funds available.
The data provided by the Department of Levelling-Up, Housing and Communities covers a range of levelling-up related funds including, but not limited to, the Coastal Community Fund, Community Ownership Fund, Future High Streets Fund, Towns Fund, and the Levelling-Up Fund.

The Government’s response also includes a summary table listing funding streams sub-totals for all four nations of the UK and regions within England.

Clive Betts, Chair of the Levelling Up, Housing and Communities Committee, said:
“The Minister’s disclosure of data relating to levelling-up funding programmes is welcome. If we are to examine the impact and allocation of these funds on communities across the country, it is crucial there is transparency and accountability from Government on the range of levelling-up monies available.
As a Committee, we look forward to examining issues around levelling-up funding in evidence sessions in the Autumn.”
