Purpose of the session
The session is the last in the inquiry which is examining whether guidance for local authorities taking planning decisions on fracking applications needs to be updated or improved.
Members of the Committee will have the chance to put to the Ministers evidence heard so far on whether existing guidance is adequate and whether there is a need for a comprehensive guidance document. Members are also likely to raise questions about the written ministerial statement on fracking planning policy that was published on 17 May.
