The document sets out Government proposals to strengthen communities and identifies factors affecting integration, including migration, labour market disadvantage and language barriers. A consultation on the proposals closed in June.
Purpose of the session
Dame Louise previously led an independent review into opportunity and integration, with her final report published in December 2016. The Committee will question her on her views on the Strategy before hearing from the Minister. Questions are likely to focus on funding, the Strategy's timescale and the role of local authorities in its implementation.
