Work and Pensions Committee questions Pensions Regulator

The Work and Pensions Committee has held a virtual session with the Pensions Regulator to question its senior leadership about the organisation's response to the Covid-19 outbreak.
MPs asked what steps the Regulator was taking to support employers and pension savers facing difficulties during the pandemic.

Chief Executive Charles Counsell gave evidence alongside Executive Director of Regulatory Policy, Analysis and Advice, David Fairs and Director of Communications Liz Hickey.
The session examined the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on pensions auto-enrolment and deficits in defined benefit pension schemes. MPs also asked what was being done to protect savers from pension scams.
