As the Welsh Affairs Committee continues its inquiry on Broadcasting in Wales, MPs hear from sporting organisations FA Wales and the Welsh Rugby Union, before turning their attention to production companies.
On the first panel, MPs will likely explore issues with FA Wales ranging from decisions around broadcasting Wales’ football matches and Welsh language coverage of matches. Discussion with FA Wales and the Welsh Rugby Union is then likely to be around public service broadcasters showing sport, and the use of subscription services broadcasting sporting events.
On the second panel, which will focus on television production, the Committee will likely delve into how more firms can be attracted to Wales, and how skill shortages in the sector can be filled.
