Chair's comments
David T.C. Davies, Chair of the Welsh Affairs Committee, said:
"I am pleased to be opening our new inquiry with our first evidence session at Westminster in Welsh this Parliament. As the committee responsible for representing the interests of Wales in the House of Commons, it is only appropriate that we reflect the 320,000 who are fluent speakers. One of the key aspects we will be looking at in the inquiry is Welsh Language Broadcasting, and I look forward to hearing our witnesses points of view."
