Chair's comments
Commenting on the forthcoming sessions, Rt Hon. Andrew Tyrie MP, Chairman of the Treasury Committee, said:
"Both sides in the referendum campaign have traded in outrageous claims and unsubstantiated assertions, masquerading as "facts".
The Treasury Committee has been picking through these assertions for several months as part of its inquiry into the UK's EU membership.
Over the coming fortnight, it will take evidence from the leave campaign groups, and from the Chancellor.
The Chancellor will be questioned on the Treasury's own analysis of the UK's membership of the EU, and the alternatives to it. He has undertaken to publish this by Friday 22 April."
