Chair welcomes review of advice on RBS sale

Rt Hon. Andrew Tyrie MP, Chairman of the Treasury Committee, writes to Sir Amyas Morse, Comptroller and Auditor General of the National Audit Office (NAO), regarding the advice provided by UK Financial Investments (UKFI), to the Government, ahead of its sale of shares in RBS in August 2015.

Commenting on the correspondence, Mr Tyrie said:
"It is welcome that the NAO will examine the advice provided by UKFI to the Treasury ahead of the sale of shares in the RBS in August 2015.
Parliament and the public will want reassurance that the Government secured the best value for money for the taxpayer."
