Treasury Committee to question Chancellor, OBR and economists on Spring Budget

The Treasury Committee today announces a series of evidence sessions scrutinising the Spring Budget.
The cross-party Committee of MPs will question the Chancellor on the Budget measures on Wednesday 29 March at 9.45am.
This will follow a session in which the MPs will gather economists’ views on the measures announced in the budget, at 9.45am on Tuesday 21 March. The Committee will question the independent Office for Budget Responsibility (OBR) at 2.15pm on Wednesday 22 March.
The Committee’s scrutiny is likely to focus on the Budget’s impact on households and businesses across the UK, and on inflation, taxation and economic growth.
