Treasury Committee explores fintech, private equity and financial market infrastructure

The Treasury Committee hears from leaders in fintech, private equity, and financial market infrastructure as part of its Future of Financial Services inquiry at 3:15pm on Monday 6 December.

Likely areas of questioning

The Committee is likely to discuss which changes to financial services regulation should be sought post-Brexit to enhance innovation, as well as how Government could support UK competitiveness in private equity and fintech.

Witnesses’ views may be sought on subjects including central bank digital currencies, open banking, competition, and the Treasury’s proposed new objectives for regulators on growth and competitiveness.
