Monday 14 December 2015, Grimond Room, Portcullis House

At 4.00pm

  • Nick Molden, Chief Executive Officer, Emissions Analytics
  • James Tate, Institute for Transport Studies, Leeds University
  • Greg Archer, Clean Vehicles Manager, Transport & Environment

Purpose of the session

Following the Volkswagen emissions scandal in September 2015, the Transport Committee decided to look into emissions testing and vehicle type approval.

This session focuses on emissions testing and the transition from the current New European Drive Cycle (NEDC) to the Real Driving Emissions test – in short, the EU Commission's proposals for taking emissions tests out of the lab and onto the road.
