Focus of the session
The session is intended to scrutinise the work of the Department for Transport on rail issues, with a focus on:
- Rail franchising, including issues with the Rail Pension Scheme;
- Accessibility, including trains and stations;
- Infrastructure investment and timetabling, following up on the Committee's 2018 reports on these issues; and
- Rail fares, ticketing and compensation
