Chair comment
Following the publication of Project Willow’s report, the Chair of the Scottish Affairs Committee, Patricia Ferguson MP, said:
“The publication of Project Willow’s findings is a welcome starting point for the transformation of Grangemouth and its low-carbon future.
“The report highlights the challenges of this transformation. To make it work, it’ll undoubtedly be crucial to secure the proper private investment and get the timings right.
“The Scottish Affairs Committee is following the work at Grangemouth closely to ensure that both Governments work together to secure the private sector activity needed to create jobs, security and economic growth for the region.
“I’m looking forward to questioning Petroineos, who will be appearing in front of the committee on 2 April, about Project Willow and the future of the site.”
