From cost of living to EU import controls: Scottish Secretary to answer MPs' questions
16 June 2022
The Scottish Affairs Committee is holding its regular, wide-ranging session with the Secretary of State for Scotland.
Session focus
The evidence session is expected to cover numerous issues for people living in Scotland. Examples include the current cost of living crisis, and reflecting on the response to Storm Arwen, which at its peak disrupted nearly 80,000 Scottish Power and 126,000 Scottish and Southern Energy Networks customers.
The evidence session is also likely to cover a range of wider issues, such as EU import controls, the Northern Ireland Protocol Bill and intergovernmental relations.
It also offers MPs the opportunity to reflect on the work of the Committee with the Secretary of State, such as the Committee's work on the Shared Prosperity Fund (SPF) and the Government's commitment that devolved administrations will have a place within the SPF governence structure.
